Our first lose during the Playoffs

We suffered our first lose this evening. We did a lot of things right and just a few things we'd like to do over. They were able to take a quick 2-0 lead. Sacha and Vincent played the passing game perfectly. Driving deep into their zone pulling their goalie past the left post leaving the right side open for Torben to bury the puck and close to gap to within one goal. But we couldn't get the tying marker and unfortunately ran out of time.
We did a great job controlling the neutral zone tying them up and chipping the puck off their sticks. We certainly out-shot them, but most were from 50 feet out. Giving them time to re-group and effectively block the shot. We stood strong at our blue line throwing a blanket on their rush and kept the puck in their zone while killing the penalty.
The top four teams advance and we're still playoff bound. Even though we did lose the game, we grew a lot and did a tonne of stuff better. Put this game behind us. Take what we do very well (passing, team play, heads up passing) and put that energy into next Sundays game. Remember what we need to build on and make it better. We are a great team and everyone is doing their part. Let's stay focused, play safe, earn 2 points next weekend and most importantly, have fun.
