A tough lose
Hi Team
Ouch. That was a tough game. We fell behind very early and couldn't muster any momentum to win. We had a bright spot though. With seconds running down in the first period, Ryan grabbed the puck in the neutral zone, rushed past their blue line and fired a bullet from the point over their goalies glove hand to give us our only goal. It was a great ​effort and an excellent example of what we can do when remember our practice drills.
One big mistake we made was the lack of quality, short, tape to tape passing. We have skill and depth on each line. We seem to forget this is a team sport. We can't be selfish and expect to rush from one end to the other untouched. During our practices, we repeatedly rehearse passing. Short crisp tape to tape techniques that work in game situations. Our lines need to move together, each knowing where the other is now and where they are going to be.
The playoffs are still in reach. Let's put this game to good use. Don't let tonight bring you down. Show everyone what we can do as one team, united and together. Play safe, play smart, and always have fun doing it.
