Black to face Barrie in finals
It was a tough semi-final series that pitted friend-against-friend in an intense semi final match-up between Black and Gold. Many of the players have been teammates or classmates in the past. It tends to bring out the best of everyone and draws large crowds.
This year Brampton Black got the better of the matchup, winning the series in four games, but every game was close and none were easy.
"Brampton Gold should be really proud of themselves this year" coach Luddington said. "They had a lot to deal with... injuries and so on... but they really pulled together as a team, won a tourney and had a really good season. That's what hockey is all about... overcoming adversity by pulling together as a team, picking up your lunch pail and going to work."
As for Brampton Black, their dream season continues against a very tough Barrie team. They are well coached and have a very talented team that works hard and plays smart. It's sure to be a great finals!
