45s lose in finals
The Brampton 45s were dominant in the round robin of the Cody Hodgson Classic in Haliburton, but came up against a very tough Woodville Hurricanes team in the finals. The high flying 45s were stopped by a very well organized trap that Brampton just couldn't seem to break.

Woodville was a very well coached team. In the round robin they executed on several offensive zone faceoff set plays. Brampton knew it was coming, but they couldn't stop it, which resulted in the first goal of the game. After that, Woodville played a trap a lot, which slowed the 45s. And on occasions when they set up in the offensive zone, the Woodville goalie came up huge. Woodville got an insurance goal late in the third, which sealed the game.

Brampton had a strong tourney, but not quite strong enough to take home the championship. Nonetheless, the team had a great time, especially at the cottages at the Red Umbrella inn. Players went fishing, enjoyed the great outdoors and ate more than their fill of BBQ.

Thanks to the city of Haliburton and Minden for hosting us at this tourney. And congrats to Woodville.
