Special Needs Program
Have you always wanted to play in a hockey league? Have you tried traditional house league hockey but felt you couldn't keep up with the other players? Was the pace of play too fast or too rough? Well, now is your chance to try a different hockey experience. Come out and learn the various skills and drills of hockey designed to accommodate your level of play. You will learn how to stop, shoot, pass, score and play games with special needs athletes from Brampton and other cities! This league will give you the opportunity to practice all of these skills every Saturday morning (or Sunday if an away game) for one hour during the hockey season. We also go on at least one tournament per year with fundraising support.
The objective of Brampton Special Needs Hockey (BYHA Special Needs) is to provide an ice hockey program for any child or adult regardless of age, race or gender who has a special need. The only requirement is that you are able to walk and can stand up on skates on the ice. You will require full hockey equipment to play.
