The Flyers played an outstanding tournament, starting with an opening 7-2 victory over the Leafs. Game 2 saw the Flyers lose a heart-breaker to the Habs 2-1, but they responded with a big win in their game 3 tilt vs the Bruins 5-2 to advance to the Semi-Finals, and a rematch with the Habs. The Semi-Finals were a hard fought battle, with the Flyers coming out on top this time by a score of 4-1, setting up a Finals match-up with the top ranked Penguins. With a balanced scoring attack, great team defence, and some outstanding goaltending, the Flyers took control of the game early and never looked back, winning by a final score of 6-2!
