Brampton Bears fall short in Finals VS Thornhill Rebels in Bradford
Brampton Bears fell short from winning their second tournament of the year at the Bradford Blue and Gold tournament last weekend by getting beat by an avenged Thornhill team. Brampton beat Thornhill by playing a flawless 3-0 game to secure a bye to the finals. A tremendous game played at both ends of the rink. Goals scored by Lucas Dias and Marcus Gaymes with 2. Helpers went to Matthew Michelberger with 2 and Alex Dasilva with 2.
Strong goaltending play by Daniel Rotatore who earned the shut out stopping all 16 shots.
Brampton played their first game vs the Woodstock Navy Vets and tied 2-2. Much of the play was in Brampton's favour outshooting Woodstock 23-11. Goals scored by Matthew Michelberger and Lucas Dias. Single assist went to Rohan Baidman, Gavin Park, Matthew Michelberger and Lucas Dias.
In the finals Brampton played extremely well but came up short after dominating most of the game. Brampton lost 4-2 VS Thornhill Rebels. Again Brampton outshot their opponents 19-8 but some untimely errors caused turnovers resulting in the loss. Goals scored by Jacob Hendrikx and Maxwell Murphy. Assist by Brendan Nolet, Gabe Roccasalva, Joshua Attard and Marcus Gaymes.
