BHI Needs Your Help - Kruger Big Assist
Submitted By Josh Hamilton on Thursday, January 14, 2021
Brampton Hockey is looking to receive $10000 from the "Kruger Big Assist" program and we need your help!

The Big Assist is a new minor hockey financial support initiative, donating over $100,000 Canadian minor hockey associations to help offset playing costs for families.

The Big Assist program is about making hockey more accessible to families in need of a little bit of extra help. That’s why Kruger is committing to donating over $100,000* to minor hockey associations across Canada. These funds will provide financial assistance to families who need help with hockey registration fees.

BHI has been encouraged to submit multiple applications/nominations to explain why Brampton Hockey should receive a portion ($10000) of these available funds to help families in need within our association and from the Brampton community.

Hockey associations must be nominated by members in their community – people just like you!
Whether you are a player, a parent whose child plays hockey, a coach, a volunteer, an individual in the community, or you represent a hockey association, you can nominate a hockey association who you feel deserves to win. See
 full rules and regulations
for more details on association eligibility

Sample Nomination/Application
Thus far, a few nominations have already been submitted on behalf of BHI but we still need your help! Below is a sample of one nomination form already submitted which you can use to assist in writing your application:

"Brampton is a very diverse community with many immigrant families.  The children from those families would love to learn the game of hockey.  Unfortunately one of the barriers that they face is a financial one.  With the help of the Kruger Big Assist program we would be able to help many of those kids live their Canadian Dream of playing Hockey! Thank you for your consideration and to help grow the game.  We hope to be able to help kids in Brampton play our Canadian Game."
