Minor Development (MD)
In case you missed it - we are pleased to
introduce the MD program to the U7 age group for the upcoming season. This
program will now span across U7-U9 and provides a competitive opportunity for
our young, budding athletes graduating from the timbits program.
With the introduction of
these new programming options, Brampton Hockey now offers competitive travel
hockey from Minor Development to Advanced League to Representative, ALL within
Tri-County to ensure seamless stepping stones for our players as they progress
and grow.
Spring Evaluations + Development Skates:
Evaluations (previously referred to as 'tryouts') for the
U12-U18 Advanced League teams will begin
following the May holiday long-weekend.
Development skates will be offered for
the U10-11 teams; should we have sufficient interest and skill-level at the
development skates, we will proceed with evaluations immediately following. If
not, evaluations will take place in September alongside Minor Development.
Development skates will also be offered
for U7-U9 Minor Development, in preparation for Fall Evaluations in
September.
The Development Skates are a great way for
players to: prepare for what to expect during Fall Evaluations, meet the
coaches, and also an opportunity for parents who wish to learn more about the
programs and ask questions.
Coaches for the Advanced League and Minor
Development teams were recently announced, and posted online.
Please see the Website
Calendar for ice times for development skates and evaluations; limited spots
are available in some cases so we encourage you to sign-up early.
We look forward to our new
programming structure for the 2024-2025 season supported by Tri-County, that
ensures there is something for everyone looking for a more competitive
opportunity at an appropriate skill-level to ensure a positive and rewarding
experience.
