Regular Season Recap
After having a really rough season last year your 2011 BB 45's have made a lot of progress this season.

It all started with our pre-season development and team bonding. In the preseason we played in 4 games where we had a record of 1-3-0 allowing 8 goals and scoring 5, which for anyone who followed us or was a part of our team last year was a huge improvement in itself. We then continued to train not only on ice but hitting up Dryland training which was the first time for anyone on our team. The boys listened tentatively to the trainers at dryland and put in the focus to getting better off ice.

We started our Tri-County season on October 7th with our Home opener which we played a good game against Centre Wellington who ended up having the upper hand and giving us the loss. Since this first game we played in 6 more close games vs other opponents where they could have gone any direction, and one game where we shined very brightly winning 9-3 Vs Orangeville. After our first 8 games in Tri-County league play we had a record of 1-7. Which for us was great as last year we had 0 wins all year. We also finished our first Tournament of the Season at the end of October in Prince Edward County where we finished with a 2-1-0 record in round robin which had us in a 3-way tie for 3rd out of 10 teams, we would move on to the Quarter Finals where our tournament ended placing in 5th out the 10 teams.

The team then started looking forward to November where we had 4 more season games and another tournament. We knew that going into November we would have some tough games as we were playing some really good teams. Riding the wave of going 2-2 in the tournament and finishing in the Quater finals which we never even had a chance to do all last season we tied our first game of the month 3-3 against the 1st place team. We went on to lose the next 3 hard games to end November with a overall record of 1-10-1. In the middle of the month, we had our second tournament were the team had a minor setback in the second day when we got out matched heavily. The boys took the set back on the chin and hit the following practices with the drive and focus to be better as they knew they were better than they performed in the tournament.

December hit we had 6 more games and then a tournament over the holidays to look forward to. We dropped our first 4 games in hard fought battles. Then in our 5th game of the month we came out victorious getting our 2nd win in regular season. We could see that all of the hard work in practices and dryland were starting to payoff. We lost our last season game before the holidays in a really hard game with a top team in our loop. After the game the guys knew that they could play with this team and had the good feeling that they were getting better. We went to our third tournament we went 1-2-1 in round robin and got into the semifinals over rival Oakville by a GF% tie breaker. We ultimately would lose a close game in the semi's but for us it was a great improvement. Now we have played in 3 tournaments and made a quarter final and a semifinal.

Now we get to the last month of Regular season when we would have 8 games to finish off before playoffs start. Feeling good after the tournament we started with a game vs Glancaster we would tie 4-4. Then we would play our second game 2 days later wining 8-3. We then went on to tie another starting the new year with a 1-0-2 record. We dropped the next 3 games by only a goal or 2 looking good. We then would see positive results of all the training and dedication from the boys when getting our next win 9-3 and ended the regular season with another 4-4 tie with the first place Flamborough Sabers. We would also have a record for our last 10 games of 3-4-3.

We ended regular season with a 4-18-4 record and a .231 W% scoring 81 goals and allowing 116. This is a huge improvement from the past season where we went 0-28-0 a W% of 0 only scoring 20 goals and allowing 259.

It has been a great year so far and we look forward to performing in playoffs and the chance to bring home a Tri-County Championship Banner.
