Did the playoffs start early?
The energy at South Fletcher's arena was dialed up a bit, as Brampton Gold and Black faced off for the first time this season. When Brampton teams go head-to-head it's always interesting, as many of the players competing against each other have been teammates in the past. Many go to school together, and several of the parents are friends.
It always makes for an exciting game. This week was no different, as the game went right to the wire and ended in a 3-3 tie. Brampton Black had played with great energy, but had trouble beating Gold goalie, Akash Mann, who had a stellar game.
The rope went to Sai Gill, who showed great self-control and determination, by putting his team first when the game got a bit heated. Well done Sai!
The season continues this weekend when the Brampton Black will face off against other Ontario teams in the Thornhill Rebels Tourney. Let's come ready to play!
